As part of our environmental impact initiative, last week we had solar panels fitted to the roof of our warehouse and office building in Bilston.
We used a local company based in Four Ashes, Wolverhampton; NPES Solar. They are commited to making green energy accessible and affordable for all, and have over 25 years combined experience in the Solar PV field.
A total of 70 PV modules were installed over the week, and will generate an annual energy production of 24,000 KWh. This is the equivalent of plating 278 trees.
This addition is a great way for the business to contribute towards a carbon neutral future, as it will save at least 6.05 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, and up to 111 tonnes over the next 20 years.
We installed electric vehicle charging points to power the vehicles, which will also be powered by the solar panels. We are extremely dedicated to creating a positive impact when it comes to our carbon footprint, and would encourage other SME's to invest in renewable energy.
