Keeping your GENERATOR cool this Summer!

Keeping your GENERATOR cool this Summer!

Some helpful tips to ensure your Summer Projects run smoothly.

With the UK Summer reaching record temperatures of 35C and above, it seems like the perfect time of year to be working outdoors. Why not get that shed built, or fix the decking in the back garden that you’ve been putting off all year?

If you are using a generator to power any machinery this summer, you must be aware of overheating. Most generators operate efficiently in working environments of around 30C, however due to the increase in outdoor temperatures, direct sunlight can cause the metal surrounds of the generator to absorb heat and may lead to generator failure.

To prevent this from occurring, ensure that your generator is not placed in direct sunlight when working outdoors.
